Blood sugar that is too high. It builds up slowly and often causes thirst, frequent urination and tiredness.
Hyperglycaemia is the medical word for blood above the target range.
What it feels like
- Passing urine more often, especially at night
- Feeling very thirsty however much you drink
- Tiredness that does not lift with rest
- Blurred vision
- Cuts and infections that heal slowly
Unlike , it comes on over hours or days rather than minutes, which is exactly why it is easy to ignore.
